• Thread Forming (Chipless Taps) create threads through a cold forming process rather than cut the threads – threads produced are stronger than conventional cut threads
• Ideal for Aluminum and other non-ferrous materials as well as mild steel or other ductile materials
• Not recommended for harder materials
• This style of tap does require a larger tap drill size vs conventional cut taps and lubrication is highly recommended
